With new Appearance Settings and Profile Branding tools, you can shape the look and feel of your ineedthis experience — from color themes and backgrounds to your avatar and bio.

Set the Mood with Themes

Every detail matters, including the atmosphere of your app. Theming lets you change the color and tone of your experience with just a few taps.

To open Appearance Settings, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen and select “Appearance.” From there, you can choose from five color themes — Light, Dark, Pink, Purple, and Neutral — each offering its own look and personality.

For a touch of modern polish, try toggling on Glass Mode, which adds a subtle, translucent layer to your interface for a sleek, dynamic feel.

Make It Yours with Backgrounds

Want your space to feel truly unique? You can now customize the background that appears throughout the app.

In Appearance Settings, scroll below the theme options to choose from preloaded background images, or upload one of your own. Whether you prefer soft gradients, bold colors, or a personal photo, your background quietly shapes the mood of your entire experience.

Show Your Personality with Profile Branding

Every profile on ineedthis can now reflect the individuality of the person behind it.

When someone visits your profile, they’ll see your posts within your chosen theme and background — your world, your way.

It’s a small detail, but it makes every visit feel personal and distinct. The more users make these spaces their own, the more colorful and expressive the community becomes.

Update Your Avatar and Bio

Your profile is more than just your posts — it’s your identity on ineedthis.

New users start with a randomly generated avatar, but you can easily update it to something more personal.

To do this, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen and select “Settings.” Then go to the Profile tab, where you can change your avatar, edit your bio, and add other details about yourself.

As a bonus, users who add both a bio and a background image unlock a special badge — a little recognition for making your space truly your own.
