Welcome to ineedthis! Our community is built on the foundation of authentic human connections, mutual respect, and genuine helpfulness. These Community Guidelines outline the standards we expect all members to uphold to maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for everyone.

By using ineedthis, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent account suspension depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.

1. Respect and Civility

Treat everyone with respect and dignity.

Prohibited Conduct:

• Harassment and Bullying: Do not target individuals or groups with repeated unwanted contact, intimidation, or malicious content.
• Hate Speech: Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity is strictly prohibited.
• Personal Attacks: While disagreement and debate are welcome, personal insults, name-calling, and ad hominem attacks are not.
• Threats and Intimidation: Any content that threatens violence, harm, or intimidation toward individuals or groups is prohibited.

What we encourage: Healthy debate, constructive criticism, and respectful disagreement. We value diverse perspectives and encourage thoughtful dialogue.

2. Safety and Well-being

We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users.

Strictly Prohibited:

• Child Safety: Any content involving the sexualization of minors or child abuse material (CSAM) will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities. See our Child Safety Standards for details.
• Self-Harm and Suicide: Content promoting, glorifying, or providing instructions for self-harm or suicide is prohibited. If you need help, please contact a crisis helpline in your area.
• Graphic Violence: Gratuitously violent or gory content intended to shock or disturb is not allowed.
• Illegal Activities: Content promoting, facilitating, or coordinating illegal activities is prohibited.
• Dangerous Organizations: Content supporting or promoting terrorist organizations, violent extremist groups, or organized crime is not allowed.

3. Authenticity and Integrity

Be genuine and honest in your interactions.

Prohibited Conduct:

• Impersonation: Do not pretend to be someone you're not, including impersonating other users, public figures, organizations, or ineedthis staff.
• Spam and Manipulation: Do not engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior, spam, or attempts to artificially manipulate engagement metrics.
• Misleading Information: While we support free expression, deliberately spreading verifiably false information that could cause harm is prohibited.
• Scams and Fraud: Deceptive practices, financial scams, phishing attempts, and fraudulent schemes are not allowed.

AI-Generated Content: If you post AI-generated content, you must mark it as such using the "AI-generated" flag. We value human authenticity and transparency.

4. Content Standards

Post content that adds value to our community.

NSFW and Sensitive Content:

• Adult content is allowed but must be marked as NSFW (Not Safe For Work). This includes sexually explicit material, nudity, and graphic content.
• Users can control whether they see NSFW content in their settings. Failing to mark NSFW content appropriately may result in penalties.
• Sexual content involving minors is absolutely prohibited, regardless of marking.

Intellectual Property:

• Respect copyright and intellectual property rights. Only post content you have permission to share.
• If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please contact us with a DMCA notice.

Spam and Commercial Activity:

• Excessive self-promotion, repetitive posts, or unsolicited commercial messages are not allowed.
• Legitimate business posts (services, products, campaigns) are welcome when posted appropriately in relevant communities.
• Do not engage in vote manipulation, artificial engagement, or coordinated spam campaigns.

5. Privacy and Consent

Respect others' privacy and personal information.

Prohibited Conduct:

• Doxxing: Do not share others' private personal information (addresses, phone numbers, financial information, etc.) without explicit consent.
• Non-Consensual Intimate Content: Sharing intimate or sexual images or videos of someone without their consent is strictly prohibited.
• Invasion of Privacy: Respect others' reasonable expectations of privacy. Don't share private conversations or content without permission.

6. Enforcement and Appeals

How we enforce these guidelines and how you can appeal.

Moderation Process:

• Content is moderated through a combination of AI-assisted detection and human review.
• Reports from community members help us identify violations. Please report content that violates these guidelines.
• Our moderation team reviews flagged content and takes appropriate action based on the severity and context of the violation.

Enforcement Actions:

• Content Removal: Violating content may be removed or hidden from public view.
• Warning (Strike 1): First-time violations typically result in a warning and educational notice.
• Temporary Restrictions (Strikes 2-3): Repeated violations may result in temporary restrictions on posting or other account features.
• Account Suspension (Strike 3): Three violations within a reasonable timeframe result in a temporary 7-day ban.
• Permanent Suspension: Severe violations or persistent rule-breaking may result in permanent account termination.

Appeals:

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you can request a review:

• Provide context and explanation for why you believe the decision was incorrect

Appeals are typically reviewed within 24-48 hours. Please be patient and respectful in your communications.
